EXPERIENCE

Fixture Designer/CNC Consultant

Pro Armor (Polaris Inc.), Corona, CA

  • Designed fixtures and created g-code for various snowmobile and UTV parts. Fixtures designed with ease of use, machine limitations, and cost effectiveness in mind.

  • Identify and fix potential part design challenges that would affect machinability.

  • Optimize fixture designs based on feedback to increase ease of use and efficiency.

  • Trained staff in operation of Haas VF3SS CNC machine from basics to full production.

  • Created step-by-step setup guides to instruct staff on fixture setup/use.

Mechanical Designer

Disneyland Resort, Anahiem, CA

  • Worked in Ride & Show engineering to revise drawings, update designs to fix current issues, and document as-built conditions.

  • Interfaced with sustaining engineering and maintenance staff to better understand issues and design constraints.

  • Created/revised schematic drawings, assembly drawings, wirelists, and indentured drawing lists for controls engineering.

  • Incorporated over 300 temporary variances and ECO’s in 6 months.

  • Conduct field inspections to verify current conditions and document needed design changes.

Mechanical Designer

Pro Armor (Polaris Inc.), Corona, CA

  • Created aftermarket UTV accessory designs from scratch, researched novel designs for new product lines, and updated existing designs for new model years. Later helped Pro Armor expand into snowmobile accessories.

  • Involved in every step from design, drawing creation, prototype, test fitment, revision, through to eventual manufacture.

  • Decreased revision time through the use of skeletons and implementation of resilient modeling strategy.

  • Simplified designs to use fewer components, thus saving manufacturing time.

  • Developed a process to manipulate 3D scan data using a combination of SolidWorks and Creo.

Mechanical Designer

Rite Tech Resources LLC, Orange, CA

  • Created part drawings, assembly drawings and installation drawings for Boeing Satellites to ASME Y14.5 standards in Creo Parametric. Completed every part of the drawing including identifying specific requirements and creating notes based on Boeing Process Specifications.

  • Worked with various teams including propulsion, structure, antenna, and solar on all stages of design from piece part to integration.

  • Updated drawings after design changes, created engineering change notices, implemented redlines, and manipulated 3D models.

Company Founder/Designer

Omnia Design Co., Riverside, CA

  • Designed a wireless phone charger handcrafted from marble. Process involved CNC Machining a recess into the back of polished marble tiles to fit the wireless charging circuitry before filling the recess with potting compound.

  • Improved manufacturing efficiency by developing an automatic tile polisher. Able to polish 60 tiles an hour unattended compared to 5 an hour by hand.

CNC Contract Work

Agility Fuel Systems, Irvine, CA

  • Cut electronic panels using custom built CNC Machine. Vastly improved efficiency and quality over previous hand cutting method.

  • Optimized layout using SolidNest nesting software to decrease material waste.

  • Improved cut accuracy thus increasing uniformity versus hand method.

CNC Contract Work

Cal Poly Pomona Solar Boat Club, Pomona, CA

  • Machined 2 part molds to create scale models of prototype hull designs using A fully custom designed and built CNC machine in order to test fluid flow characteristics.

  • Working with HSMworks CAM software, created toolpaths based on the CAD models.

  • Final fiberglass models resulted in more accurate flow characteristics compared to previous 3d-printed hull models.
